Dear Grady,

How are you and the school doing? Annabell

The school is good and I have a lot of friends here.

I wonder what your family brought to the school this year? Catherine

K'nex, legos, art supplies, paper and tennis shoes and also playdough. They have fun with it.

What is the closest celebration right now? Rabi

Teacher Vanna Lida's wedding. They have good food there.

Why do you eat on the mat or table? Sheppard

They are really poor and they don't have a table cause they don't have the money to get one.

Is it hard to pump the waterpump? Luke

Nope.

Why isn't there faucet water in your homes? Delaney

They don't have running water.

Why is the library so small? Noha

Because they need room for the English class too.

What kind of books do you need? How's the school doing? Sophie

They need Khmer language books. Everybody is doing fine.

When you swam in the lake, does it feel good? Sheppard

It feels very good because it got deep and it's not a lake but it is a small river.

Is the lake hot? Devon

No it, it's just the right temperature.

Are you going to come back soon? Will

Yes, I'll be back at school on February 1st.

How is the library doing? Zach

Good, the students need to dig the foundation for the new library.

What games do you play? Kiaya J.

marble games, chasing kids (they really like it)

What do you eat? Ryan

Mostly I eat rice and noodles.

Where do you get most of your food? Kaiah M.

From the cooks and in the village. And it's not far.

I hope you never get the sickness given by mosquitoes. Donovan

Thank you and I hope it don't either.

We all agreed with Donovan. What does your school need that our class can help you with? Lisa

They can donate like Peter did and giving the school toys that we don't use anymore.

We want to donate books.

Good, simple English books are best.

I hope your school's doing better. Will

It is doing awesome.

Hi, Grady. I hope you come back soon. Will

Thank you for writing back to me. I miss you all and I will see you soon. Grady

Hi Grady!
Thanks for the blog. And thanks for sending all of the pictures. Me and Maya enjoyed it. I would like to play with the tires, too. I hope you come back soon!
Your friend,
Peter

Hi Grady,
I hope you're having a nice time. Maybe when you get back, you can teach us some Khmer. I'm glad you didn't get malaria. I wonder if you could show us some more about your friends because I think that your friends, Riat and Theary, are cool! Hope to see you soon!
Your friend's sister,
Maya
